Integrative BioInformatics is pleased to announce its collaboration with Touro University of California on a grant entitled Lipogenesis, lipoprotein flux & CVD risk: Role of meal composition and frequency. The grant, awarded by the National Institutes of Health, will help to provide new information on how two different diets — one high in sugar versus the other high in fat — and two different meal frequencies — small frequent meals versus large meals — affect lipid production after a meal and overall lipid profiles that affect the risk of cardiovascular disease. IBI will provide non-steady state analysis to the research team.

Integrative BioInformatics announces its collaboration with the University of Missouri School of Medice on a grant entitled Insulin Resistance in the Control of Intestinal Lipid Metabolism. The two-year grant, awarded by the American Diabetes Association, will fund an investigation of triglyceride metabolism in subjects with and without insulin resistance to understand how insulin resistance impacts intestinal triglyceride storage and postprandial glucose metabolism. IBI will provide non-steady state analysis to the research team.

Models in ProcessDB can be automatically combined with user-specified experimental protocols through a single, easy to use graphical interface.

Integrative BioInformatics part of a team receiving an NIH Roadmap Grant
Integrative BioInformatics announces its collaboration with a team based at the University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW) Medical Center, which has just received a $22 million grant from the National Institutes of Health. The award, formally announced on September 6, 2007, will fund UTSW Medical CenterÂ’s obesity research team in its groundbreaking multi-prong attack on obesity, from studying individual fat cells to developing medicines. Integrative BioInformatics will provide software and expert consulting services to the project team.
